Marck On January 29, 1964, while the Beatles were in Paris, they recorded two German-language renditions of their two most recent singles, I Want To Hold Your Hand and She Loves. Most groups during this time were required to record their hits in European languages, but after recording these two songs The Beatles said never again. In Truth the German version does not translate at all like the original song. Transcribed below in red, is I Want To Hold Your Hand, - well sort of. Below this, in blue, is written the English version of I Want To Hold You Hand, followed by the actual German translation in green. You can see that not only was the title different, but the lyrics as well.
