I Will By John T. Marck This is one of my favorites of McCartney's many love songs. Simply written, but oh what a song! Paul wrote this song in 1968 directly for Linda Eastman, whom he was only dating at the time. He obviously felt he knew her well-enough and was confident in offering his love forever, and he was right. Being the perfectionist that Paul is, he recorded 67 takes of this song before he got it the way he wanted. Who knows how long I've loved you, you know I love you still Will I wait a lonely life time, if you want me to I will For if I ever saw you, I didn't catch your name But it never really mattered, I will always feel the same Love you forever and forever, love you with all my heart Love you whenever we're together, love you when we're apart And when at last I find you, your song will fill the air Sing it loud so I can hear you, make it easy to be near you For the things you do endear you to me, ah you know I will, I will, ooo, la All lyrics & song titles contained herein by John Lennon & Paul McCartney © Copyright Northern Songs.
